Wellness and Sustainability in Education – Discovering these 2 Rapidly Developing and Connected Educational Areas.

"Healthy People in a Healthy World" best summarizes the relationship between Wellness and Sustainability. This presentation will provide an overview to wellness and sustainability; and, how these 2 related educational areas can be merged into relevant and stimulating curriculum for K-20. Both curriculum areas can begin early, and be merged often. This session will take 20 minutes to present the basic curriculum objectives in wellness and sustainability, and then have Q&A for discussing particular applications and brainstorming curriculum planning. By the end of the session attendees will know the paradigm shifts underlying wellness and sustainability education; have information about wellness and sustainability curriculum bases and content; and, how these significant areas can be connected in merged curriculum.
